Marsh’s Greater China Client Services, a global practice, provides risk consulting, insurance brokerage, and related services for businesses operating in China. The practice also serves the risk and insurance needs of firms headquartered in China and expanding internationally beyond its borders.
Marsh’s China Client Services Practice enables clients to access consultants who have extensive understanding of China’s business and risk environment, as well as thorough knowledge of international business. The global practice has China-skilled risk specialists based in various areas of the world, including the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, and China.
In addition to working with businesses operating in and planning to enter China, Marsh’s China Client Services has worked with China businesses with a variety of needs. Besides helping businesses expanding internationally beyond China’s borders, Marsh’s Practice also has been involved in supporting the transition of entities in China's state-owned sector as they privatize as part of the country’s economic reforms.
This process often involves entities renaming; partial listings on Shanghai and Hong Kong stock exchanges; entities being made responsible for their own profit and loss and balance sheets, and changing the reporting line away from government and ministerial department heads to management boards.
